Summary:
The Centre will create facilities, either from existing or new building, on which to focus community economic development and related community development initiatives. CED activities include a base for the CER co-ordinator and for training seminars, advice sessions, ICT access and managed workspace. The plans will be guided by community research eg Planning for Real Exercise.
04-05 update
The project was delayed in 2004/5. NRF is for a feasibility study to be carried out and a contract for this has yet to be awarded.
It is hoped that the feasibility study will provide the basis for future applications to NRF, Investing in Communities and European funding for both capital and revenue support. Other funders yet to be identified
