Provision of high visibility foot patrol officers, supporting the work of police officers through a focus on low level crime, disorder and anti social behaviour. The PCSOs, one of which has recently been recruited from the Portugese community, are tasked to deal with quality of life issues and to support community development in Regent and Nelson wards, Cobholm and Lichfield. Close working with, and support of, Environmental Rangers and Street Wardens is a key objective, and integration into their communities to provide reassurance and support.

The number of PCSO's is expected to increase due to it's huge success.
