« back

Project Summary:
NRF has been used to assist with the setting up (office equpment, etc)of the Communication, liaison and Information Points (CLIPs) in:
Northgate and Yarmouth North;
Regent & Nelson
Cobholm & Lichfield
Claydon & St Andrew
Magdalen East & West
Martham

The CLIP provides local individuals and groups with information, puts people with similar aims and objectives in touch with each other, encourages people with similar interests to cooperate and form action groups and acts as a starting point for funding applications.

04-05 update
CLIPs provide drop-in points at which local people can access a range of information through leaflets and the internet - in 2004/05 they provided over eighteen thousand leaflets. Various organisations use CLIPs to deliver their services or obtain feedback from the community, for example the NRF funded 'Deep Clean Team'. The workers train voluntary staff and co-ordinate the production of local newsletters, of which more than thirty two thousand were delivered. They also update the five community websites.
