Project
Summary:
A scheme aimed at young people aged 14-17 who are interested in motorcycles. The scheme funds courses on the maintenance and care of motorcycles, road safety and tuition.
There is a website for PACT but it is currently unavailable.
UPDATE DECEMBER 2003
The scheme was operated across Norfolk by PACT but was given NRF to provide more sessions in Great Yarmouth. The scheme has had its greatest success/impact in Great Yarmouth but was unsuccessful elsewhere. Norfolk Constabulary sector inspectors (Inspector Oxford in Great Yarmouth and Inspector Crombie in Gorleston) have both worked with PACT very closely to ensure that the programmes were planned well in order to maximise the use of the funding.
Due to a lack of success with the project elsewhere across the county, partly due to supervision problems, PACT's trustees took the decision to cease running the project as from April 2003. As a result, no programmes have operated Great Yarmouth since March 2003.
