Summary:
Street safe is 4 x 2 hour programme which is offered to Young Offenders on current orders to the Youth offending team as part of their programme of supervision whose offending pattern is linked to violence. The programme is focussed on making young people more aware of how to keep themselves safe within their environment, of the consequences of becoming involved in public order and violent incidents and how to avoid similar situations in the future. The course focuses on diversion from future crime and anti-social behaviour prevention and assertiveness and breakway techniques.
