Summary:
The activity weeks will be held over a two-week period focussing on students deemed to be at risk of offending and/or anti social behaviour or at significant risk of being harmed by others. The lead member of staff is employed as a pupil guidance manager and is responsible for Child Protection and assisting her will be an LSA. There will be various activities (ie. Bowling, swimming, museum visits etc.) designed to;
? engage and positively motivate young people which in turn will aid the relationships built throughout the year.
? help to maintain that student?s place within mainstream school.
? aid each young person to reach individual academic targets
? give choices for the future.
? raise self-esteem
The 24 young people targeted are either young carers, LAC or disaffected students.
