Summary:
A week long series of events designed to provide young people from 12 to 19 in education, young people not in education work or training and adults with opportunities to gain information about careers pathways and opportunities in the borough. The event will be a partnership between Industry, education, community groups and GYBC. A coordinated series of job specific events culminating in a major careers fair will be delivered to raise apsirations and meet employer needs. We plan to organise 14 events based on the 14 lines of learning being introduced over the next four+ years as part of new government startegies. The new 'specialised' Diploma framework will introduce 14 areas based on vocational and occupational groups. By basing our events around these groups we will provide a clearer pathway understanding for paticipants.
